"THE DEFEAT" OR "THE GIAOUR DEFEATING HAFSAN (HASSAN)"
LARGE REGULE CLOCK with double patina, based on the work of Horace Vernet (1758–1836) engraved by Jazet in 1827. He is depicted triumphant, holding back a rearing horse, with his opponent’s sword and round shield at his feet. Base with neo-Gothic decoration. White dial with black Roman numerals.
(One foot damaged).
