The Tradition collection from Breguet, launched in 2005, reinterprets Abraham-Louis Breguet's historic souscription watches by bringing the movement architecture to the dial side. Beginning with reference 7027, the series exposes key mechanical elements—barrel, gear train, escapement, and balance—in a highly symmetrical, architectural composition inspired by 18th-century pocket watches.
Reference 7057, introduced in 2010, offers a refined expression of this concept. It features an off-centred silvered guilloché dial with classic Breguet numerals and blued steel hands, set above a fully visible manually wound calibre 507DR. The movement showcases traditional haute horlogerie finishing and incorporates the historic pare-chute shock protection system, originally developed by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1790.
Housed in a fluted Breguet case, the 7057 combines historical reference, technical transparency, and refined execution, making it one of the most distinctive modern interpretations of the maison's early design language.
