DANIEL FRANCK (1926–2025), SYLVAIN GABBAY AND OTHERS PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIVES OF THE NEWSPAPER *La Terre Retrouvée* AND OTHER PRESS OUTLETS A collection of 25 silver gelatine prints, some from the press, including a student demonstration in Nanterre on 29 January 1970, the fire at the drugstore in Paris in 1972, and a newsstand displaying the front page of *Terre Retrouvée* dated 15 January 1960, reading ‘Death to the SS, Death to the Nazis’. c. 1950–1970. Various formats. Some photographs are captioned and bear stamps on the reverse. At the age of 15, Daniel Franck joined the Resistance as part of the ‘Éclaireurs Israélites de France’ network. After the war, he devoted himself to photography, as evidenced by these prints.
