VIETNAM A richly carved wooden pagoda-style cabinet. The lower section opens via a glass-panelled door with a carved and openwork frame that extends beyond the glass. The sides feature two curved shelves with a gallery. The column-like uprights are carved with coiled dragons. The upper section, shaped like a pagoda, is richly carved and openwork with dragons and animated landscapes. It opens via two hinged panels. The whole rests on a base carved with chimeras, bats and naturalistic motifs. Curved, scroll-work base. 20th century.
