The reserved areas are highlighted with gilding. Chiselled and gilded bronze mountings. Handles with mascarons and lids with pine-cone-shaped finials. Apocryphal mark featuring a double ‘L’ in blue on the lids. Painted decoration signed ‘Gonthier’ or ‘Gauthier’. Work in the style of the 18th century.
