Brocade chasuble, Lyon, c. 1830–1850,
polychrome silk-woven gold cloth, spun, crimped and with a silver thread, decorated with a goldsmith’s vase adorned with roses, set amongst garlands of ears of corn, vine leaves and wildflowers. Orfrois with abundant floral scrolls; the hood is woven in the same pattern. Bougran lining (some wear and tear, stitching come undone, centre of the hood without embroidery), H. 140 cm, W. 290 cm.
