Two embroideries framed by Hoeth in Lyon, c. 1830, cream-coloured satin embroidered with polychrome silk chenille thread, depicting a floral Medici vase bearing the painted initials ‘JG’ and a potted rose bush with the monogram ‘LM’ in a medallion. Both are framed under églomisé glass; one is signed (slight wear to the embroidery and the glass of the first piece), 29 x 25 cm.
