Description
Paul Follot (1877–1942), a collection of patterned silks for interior decoration, circa 1920, famous ‘Gros de Tours’ design featuring a stylised rose, in green silk brocade with pink and black threads (discolouration), 100 x 130 cm. A small sample of this design is held at the V&A (T.260-1981). A second design featuring a medley of stylised leaves, available in two colourways: Four samples in blue and silver, 73 x 54 cm, 116 x 33 cm, 42 x 46 cm, 75 x 54 cm and two others in black and brown, 55 x 102 cm and 195 x 126 cm (damage).
