Sample book of silk fabrics for haute couture, Bianchini Ferrier Grand Livre, circa 1960–1970, samples folded into quarters of satin and taffeta, mainly printed on the warp, some with gold-threaded weft. Oriental-inspired motifs, flowers, ostrich feathers, cashmere, subtle moiré trompe-l’œil effects, and a few plain fabrics including moiré Gros de Tours. One hundred and twelve samples (some missing), measuring approximately 10 x 39 cm to 100 x 100 cm.
