Two embroidered panels based on the ‘Meuble d’été’ designed by Gondoin for the bedroom of Marie-Antoinette, Dauphine, at Versailles, woven in 1771, 20th century,
cream satin embroidered with chenille thread and polychrome silk in Beauvais stitch, decorated with bouquets of flowers (a few slight stains; the second panel is unfinished), 132 x 137 cm.
We are enclosing around thirty samples of 18th-century-style silk embroidery, from a workshop, circa 1900.
