Lionel VINCHE (1936–2025)
"The stained-glass window of a patron saint and a naked girl", acrylic on large canvas, 145 cm x 125 cm, signed, titled and dated 2007 with two compositions by the artist on the reverse. Provenance: The artist’s studio. Note: Max Loreau, philosopher and secretary to Jean Dubuffet, wrote in "Lionel la joie songeuse". He takes no path that has been prepared or suggested by others. Unflinchingly, stubbornly, he follows his own. His style belongs to no one but himself.
