FRANCE. ORDER OF THE LEGION OF HONOUR. Silver eagle of the fourth type, in 800°/°° silver, centres in 750°/°° gold (18 carat), polychrome enamel and ribbon, with a fluted ring. First Empire period. Hallmarked with the lictor’s fasces (1798–1809). Dimensions: 54 x 35 mm. Gross weight: 10.50 g. (Minor loss of enamel on the scrolls on the obverse and reverse).
