A pair of straight-sided corner cabinets in veneered wood, inlaid with simulated fluting and latticework within a frame of scrollwork, opening via a single door.
Decorated with chiselled, openwork and gilded bronze fittings (attached).
Restored breccia marble tops (replaced).
Marked by Jacques BIRCKLE, who became a Master in 1764, and bearing the hallmark of the Carpenters’ and Cabinetmakers’ Guild, JME.
Louis XVI period.
