Description
Set of two photographic collections. In a slipcase, a collection of 29 albumen prints mounted on card. Circa 1880s. On the front of the mounts, the title ‘Album Verdunois’ and captions (examples: interior of Verdun Cathedral, courtyard of the Princerie, the Episcopal Palace, Saint-Paul de Verdun Abbey, the Chapel of Sainte-Anne in Clermont, the ruins of Saint-Vannes Abbey, and the remains of the cloister of the Madeleine de Verdun. Full sizes approximately 32 x 24.5 cm. Signs of wear, dog-ears. Sheet numbered 26 is missing. A second set, in a ring binder, comprising around forty prints, mostly silver gelatine (one albumen print of Paris), mounted on card, circa 1950.
