Henri SCHNEEBERGER, 19th–20th centuries. Winter Sky in Montmartre. Photograph, bichromate wash, signed on the print in the bottom left-hand corner. Counter-signed and dated on the reverse, and bearing 12 labels and exhibition stamps from between 1933 and 1937, notably from Châteauroux Jägerndorf, Troyes, Meaux, Roanne, Kortrijk, Bar-le-Duc, etc. 32.5 ? 38.5 cm. Henri Schneeberger was a photographer and pictorialist, best known for his book on photographic techniques involving carbon printing processes.
