Henri ROGER (1869–1946) and Hélène ROGER-VIOLLET (1901–1985) A collection of photographs by and of the artist, dating from the late 19th century to the 1940s. Of particular note is a photograph taken at the top of the Eiffel Tower in 1898, a view of the Forest of Fontainebleau in the early 20th century, pictures of Henri Roger at work, a woman in front of a porch in Vézelay, and numerous family photographs dating from 1888 to 1940. Henri Roger is the father of the photographer Hélène Roger-Viollet, founder of the Roger-Viollet photography agency.
