LAFFON (Louise) and GODILLOT (Alexis). Photographic album of French army uniforms. Paris, Laprunière, 1866. Folio-sized album comprising 66 photographic prints on salted paper, all enhanced with watercolour. Each photograph is mounted on a cardboard board, with a printed paper caption glued in place, and bears the embossed stamp ‘Alexis Godillot – Paris. Supplies for the armed forces’. The entire collection is mounted on tabs. ‘This album, photographed at the workshops of Mr Alexis Godillot, supplier to the armed forces, follows on from other albums featuring artillery equipment, ambulances, camping gear, horse tack and other equipment.
