Danuta LE HENAFF (1923–2013), Blue-glazed earthenware trinket dish on a heel with a stylised floral design, signed on the base – approx. H 2 cm x L 12.5 cm x W 12.5 cm (in good overall condition)
COMMENT: Of Polish origin, Danuta Le Henaff left Poland in 1946, first for Paris and the École des Arts Appliqués, then for Madagascar, where she met her husband, Yann Le Henaff, a soldier stationed on the island. On her return to France, she set up her studio in Larmor-Plage. An exhibition of her work was held in Pornic in the summer of 2011.
