Percier's will, extract: "I bequeath to my old and very good friend Fontaine, architect to the King 1° All my drawings and sketches of any kind relating to the work carried out at the Louvre, the Tuileries, St Cloud and Malmaison 2° All my paintings, drawings by various masters [...], marbles, bronzes, medals, plaster bas-reliefs and models 3° All my art books [...].
I give & bequeath to Alexandre Villain [...] all my studies made in Rome or in France, my bound sketches made in Rome, all my portfolios of architectural drawings, without reservation, all my instruments, [...] plates for gluing them [...]".
