Each volume is illustrated with a fine vignette by François Boucher, engraved by de La Live on the title page, and with 6 headpieces and 5 tailpieces by Chedel. At the end of the volume are bound the XXV fold-out maps and plans surveyed by Lindebaum and engraved by Dheulland. FIRST EDITION. A classic of military art.
