A prime example of FontanaŐs ŇSpatial Concept,Ó or ŇslashÓ series, this work features a smooth, monochromatic surface in which the illusion of holes (buchi) or slashes (tagli) are pronounced. Fontana believed that matter should be transformed into energy in order to invade space in a dynamic form.
