Description
Vallette" collodion camera, 9 x 9, the development laboratory is integrated into the camera, circa 1868. Enclosed are the instructions and advertising of the period. As is. N.B. Jean-Marie PRADES: Vallette, manufacturer in Paris. Circa 1868. The instructions for use of the camera define it as follows: "Travel camera for working outdoors with wet collodion without tent or shelter". The Vallette system was the subject of patent no. 80219, dated 30 March 1868, which described the camera as follows: "The combination by gearing of the two parts (lower and upper) of a photographic camera designed to operate outdoors without the aid of a laboratory". The camera is made up of two parts: 1) The upper part, which is the darkroom. At the front are the optics and at the back the frosted glass, the glass holder and the yellow-orange glass for checking the development. Front and back are connected by a paper bellows with square corners. 2) The lower part, with the housing for the cups designed to hold the various products and, of course, the lenses (...).
