Le Scénographe" camera, large model, 11 x 16 cm, circa 1874. Enclosed are a box with vials and a cane. As is. N.B. Jean-Marie PRADES: Le Scénographe. Year 1874. Large model in 11 x 16 cm format. Designed by Dr Candèze and manufactured by Deyrolle. Description: inventor, designer: Dr Candèze in Belgium. Manufacturer: E. Deyrolle in Paris. French patent no. 102 784 dated 26 March 1874. The device exists in two formats: Large model = 11 x 16 cm, Small model = 8 x 11 cm. Apart from a few details, the two models are identical. (...). The conical bellows is a piece of light-tight fabric covered with a piece of black or green silk on the large model, with the following printed on it: 'Scénographe E. Deyrolle fils à Paris' (...) In the large model, the lens-holder can slide from right to left to obtain a stereo view by moving the lens, or two separate views (...).
