Description
Grapho-Stereochrome" camera by E. Mazo Paris, various formats, with three lenses, circa 1910. A bag, tripod and frames are attached. As is. N.B. Jean-Marie PRADES: The camera is based on a 9 x 14 cm folding camera with filters and shutter adapted to the various colour photography processes. The camera is designed for the Tauleigne - Mazo process, already described, but also for the Omnicolore Jougla and Dioptichrome Dufay processes. The camera is equipped with three lenses: a central lens for mono photography in 9 x 13 cm or 9 x 14 cm format and two lenses for stereoscopic photography in 6 x 13 cm format. The filters for the Tauleigne trichrome process are the traditional Red-Orange, Green and Blue-Violet. A Yellow filter is used for the Omnicolour and Dioptichrome processes; grid plates are more sensitive to blue and violet radiation and much less sensitive to green and orange radiation, hence the use of this filter colour to attenuate certain radiations while reinforcing others (...).
