Escapology - Torture. Chinese stage axe used for an escape act. An unusual piece accompanied by its period poster advertising a spectacular escape act. The cangue was made exactly as it was for an exhibition in the 1980s. The poster (30 × 50 cm) dates from the 1930s and came from the Parisian conjurer Guy Bert. Canvas poster in very good condition.
