Description
1976 – PEUGEOT 504 V6 CABRIOLET Chassis number: VF320DK2224507556. Vehicle registration document: French Date of first registration: 30/01/1976 Unveiled in 1969, the Peugeot 504 Cabriolet was the result of a particularly successful collaboration between the Sochaux-based manufacturer and the Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina. Derived from the 504 saloon, it retains the latter’s design qualities whilst adopting an elegant, low-slung and refined silhouette, characteristic of Pininfarina’s creations. From 1974 onwards, the 504 Cabriolet underwent a major upgrade with the introduction of the 2.7-litre PRV V6 engine, developed jointly by Peugeot, Renault and Volvo. This engine, combined with a more assertive design, gave the Cabriolet a level of performance and driving pleasure that made it one of the most appealing French cars in its class at the time. With only a few thousand V6 versions produced, the 504 Cabriolet is now one of the most sought-after models in Peugeot’s classic car range.
