Unveiled in 1989, the Peugeot 205 Roland Garros was the result of a partnership between Peugeot and the famous Parisian tennis tournament. Following the success of the special edition, the convertible version, designed and produced by Pininfarina, was launched in 1990.
For the 1991 model year, the Roland Garros Cabriolet was fitted with the 1.4-litre TU3S engine producing 85 ch, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It stood out thanks to its distinctive green paintwork, its leather and fabric upholstery, its enhanced equipment and its numerous features evoking the world of the tournament.
In 1991, 4,000 units of the Roland Garros series were produced, including 1,500 convertibles. This version is therefore one of the most exclusive variants of the 205 and is now considered a particularly iconic model within the Peugeot range of the 1990s.
