Paris, Librairie centrale des beaux arts, 1911. 2 large folio volumes in loose sheets in the publisher’s laced folder, an edition published under the direction of Eugène Grasset comprising 100 plates by Mathurin Méheut, printed on heavy paper and in a variety of colours. (handwritten inscription on the reverse of the slipcase, slight foxing and marginal soiling, a few stains on the spine) Notes: His studies of animals, published in two volumes in 1911 in the form of 100 plates characterised by meticulous drawing, are true works of naturalist documentation.
