Description
GÉNO, Manufacture de Montières, Amiens, France A large, spherical vase on a circular foot, made of glazed ceramic with an alternating geometric pattern in black on a pink background. The neck is slightly flared. Marked ‘Geno’ within the decoration, ‘Amiens France’ handwritten beneath the glaze, and the numbers 312 and 2 in relief beneath the base. Art Deco period, circa 1930. Height: 27.3 cm Notes: The number 312 corresponds to the model number, whilst the number 2 denotes the intermediate size, between the large model (No. 1) and the small model (No. 3), as indicated on page 158 of the work cited in the bibliography.
