Jean COCTEAU (1889–1963). ‘Faun’s head engraved on black’ Design created in 1958. White earthenware bowl, anthracite-grey engobe scraped back to reveal white, and red glaze. Edition of 50 copies from the MADELINE-JOLLY workshop – Philippe MADELINE (1914–2002) & Marie-Madeleine JOLLY (1914–1992). Signed and dated “58” at the bottom and marked “Original” on the reverse. Diameter: 26 cm. Certificate of origin dated 14 November 1961, signed by Marie-Madeleine Jolly in Villefranche. Note: Our original model from the MADELINE-JOLLY workshop.
