After Guillaume Ier COUSTOU (1677–1746) ‘Horse held by a groom’ or ‘Horse of Marly’ Pair of bronze sculptures with a brown patina. H: 58 cm W: 50 cm Created in 1745 by Coustou for the Château de Marly, the original sculptures are housed in the Louvre Museum, whilst replicas over three metres tall stand on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
