COATS OF ARMS OF THE PROVINCES OF BRITTANY. A crowned shield quartered with the arms of France and Brittany, flanked by two laurel branches.
Reverse: POTIVS. MORI. QVAM. FEDARI. ‘Better to die than to fail’. An ermine passing to the left, bearing a sash strewn with ermine spots. The field strewn with ermine spots.
