Regency-period rosewood inlaid chest of drawers
It features a wooden top veneered with a pattern of small curly-grain squares set within frames of cross-grained wood.
The top is edged with a moulded border.
The sides of this piece, veneered with curly grain, feature a front leg section with rounded panels.
It opens to reveal four drawers in three rows and rests on straight legs.
Bronze fittings including pull handles and lock plates
Parisian craftsmanship dating from around 1730–1740
Height: 80 cm, Width: 119 cm, Depth: 65.5 cm
The lock on the bottom drawer is missing; there are minor repairs to the base, particularly at the rear left
