Description
A set of four Louis XV-style cabriolet armchairs
They are made of repainted beech wood; the moulded, scroll-cut backs are topped with two small rosettes.
They feature armrests with cuffs supported by sinuous, moulded consoles.
The apron, adorned with a floral panel, is supported by a curved base.
Stamped on the front crossbars by Adrien DUPAIN and bearing the guild mark.
Parisian work from the Louis XV period.
Height: 90 cm, Width: 61 cm, Depth: 50 cm
Seats repainted; the original colour beneath the applied coat was sea green. The set retains its original webbing and has two slight cracks on two front crossbars. In good condition.
Adrien Pierre DUPAIN was admitted as a Master in Paris on 10 December 1772.
