A pair of Louis XV-period armchairs in natural walnut
The cabriolet-style backs are moulded and scroll-cut, and are topped with a floral and foliage motif.
The cuffed armrests are supported by sinuous armrests.
The moulded, scalloped waistband is supported by a curved base.
Stamped with the mark of François GENY on both front crossbars
Lyon-made, Louis XV period
Height: 87 cm – Width: 63 cm, Depth: 49 cm
One of the armchairs has been restored at the rear leg and on the crossbar of the small backrest.
François GENY (1731–1804) was admitted as a Master in 1772.
