An early 19th-century mahogany ‘boat-shaped’ bed. The headboards feature scroll mouldings and are topped by a freestanding column adorned with a ring, a capital and a recessed floral rosette. The boat-shaped bed rests on straight legs at the rear and rounded legs at the front. Dated from the early 19th century Height: 116 cm, Width: 195 cm, Depth: 138 cm Minor cracks and restorations to the veneer. According to family tradition, Edouard Herriot slept in this bed.
