Gilded bronze ‘Cupid’ clock. Romantic period, c. 1830.
Decorated with a seated Cupid between an oak tree and a quiver of arrows.
The base is decorated with a winged Cupid holding a basket of fruit.
Paris-made movement, mechanical winding, striking the hours and half-hours on a bell.
Height: 40 cm – Width: 25.5 cm, Depth: 9.5 cm
Original, unmodified movement. Normal repairs and maintenance. Mercury-gilded finish, matt, perfectly preserved. Needs cleaning. Wear to the dial.
Comes with key and pendulum.
