Description
A pair of opaline amphora vases. Mid-19th century.
They rest on a pedestal and feature a narrowing below the neck. Painted in white with a Neo-Louis XVI design, depicting a winged angel amidst volutes, arabesques and garlands of leaves and flowers. Embellished at the base, on the shoulder and at the top of the neck with gilded bands and friezes of small round medallions.
Some signs of wear to the gilding and a tiny chip on the inside of the neck.
