JAPAN – Edo period (1603–1868) Katana. Straight blade, with a regular, straight hamon. Braided tsuka, with a black tang on white stingray leather. Menuki depicting dragons on either side of the tsuka. Fushi kashira in one piece, decorated with dragons. Marugata tsuba in openwork and chiselled iron, decorated with a dragon. Copper habaki. Blade length: 95.5 cm, unsigned. Overall length: 110 cm. Width (tsuba): 8.5 cm. Depth (tsuba): 8.5 cm.
