A rare set of four armchairs with high, straight backs, known as ‘à la Reine’, in moulded and richly carved wood.
The band, centred on a shell motif, features a rich decoration of volutes and stylised foliage, shells and cross-hatching. They rest on slightly curved legs finished with scrolls and feature recessed armrests.
Regency period.
Seats and backs upholstered in a small-patterned tapestry with polychrome foliage motifs in the panels.
