Alésia cup or Alise-Sainte-Reine kantharos in silver-plated bronze, decorated with branches and a knotted sash. Side handles. Signed ‘F. Barbedienne Paris’ and ‘Désiré Attarge Fit. ’

Based on the silver model found at the Alesia site during the reign of Napoleon III and now held at the National Archaeological Museum in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
