Description
Attributed to Adriano BRAMBILLA (1829–1885).
An exceptional, dynamically shaped console table in the so-called ‘Humbertian’ style, decorated with moulded, blackened wood, ebony and veneer.
The central top, depicting Apollo’s Chariot, features a rich decoration of rosettes and geometric motifs in mother-of-pearl and bone inlay, set within alternating panels outlined by light-coloured wooden fillets.
The eight freestanding crooked legs feature the same alternating bone inlay decoration and terminate in two stepped bases supported by ball-and-spur feet.
