Émile BERNARD (1868–1941), ‘The Adoration of the Shepherds’, 1888, pencil and ink drawing, signed lower left and annotated "Painted life-size at St Briac in 1888 on the wall of my bedroom, 5 metres long – 2 metres high", accompanied, on the reverse of the work, by two handwritten notes by the artist concerning the colours of the fresco, Dimensions: 21 x 39 cm (visible area) (small tear at the bottom right, crease in the centre, small snag in the centre).
