17. An Empire period gilt-bronze clock depicting a vase
The body of the vase, imitating wickerwork, features a white enamelled dial at its centre, signed 'Sellier & Cie, Paris', surrounded by a wreath of flowers; the base of the vase is decorated with palmette motifs, with small feet resting on an oval plinth featuring two swans and a basket of flowers. (distortion on the upper part, oxidation, damage to the dial, one broken hand, no key, no balance wheel), 25cm wide, 13cm deep, 33cm high (9 1/2in wide, 5in deep, 12 1/2in high).
