18. A large Paris porcelain vase with flower garlands, circa 1844
Of ovoid form, the gilt handles in the form of harpies, the central band decorated with a continuous polychrome floral garland and other motifs in gilding on a blue ground, the neck reserved with two floral medallions framed with pearls, the gilt foot (cracked), 21cm wide, 19cm deep, 56cm high (8in wide, 7in deep, 22in high).
The base is inscribed "Médaille d'or Exp. 1844 / RF" referring to the French Industrial Exposition of 1844.
