59. A gilt-bronze clock, first half of the 19th century
The dial and movement are set within a raised frame adorned with a cupid and symbols of love; on the left is a harpist and on the right a lyre resting on its stand. Rectangular base with bevelled edges and small feet. (Signs of wear, slight oxidation, damage to the dial, one hand missing, no key, no pendulum, no guarantee of working order), 32cm wide, 10cm deep, 38cm high (12 1/2in wide, 3 1/2in deep, 14 1/2in high).
