A clock set within a cornucopia-shaped vase in blue and gilt porcelain, first half of the 19th century Slightly flattened, this blue-bottomed vase features a gold decoration of flowering branches and large acanthus and laurel leaves in relief; the back is adorned with a medallion executed in the amati and brillant techniques, depicting a cupid rekindling the fire on the altar. Four claw feet. (slight wear to the gilding, damage to the feet, damage to the dial, oxidation of the movement), 24cm wide, 14cm deep, 29cm high (9in wide, 5 1/2in deep, 11in high).
