A Louis XVI portico chinese clock in white and black marble with gilt-bronze mounts, decorated with Chinese figures The white enamelled dial, featuring black Arabic numerals for the hours and minutes, is supported by two columns topped with coiled motifs and chains. The upper section is adorned with a palanquin topped with a plume and carrying a young Asian woman. White marble base with rounded sides and a frieze depicting children. Small feet. (Needs cleaning; oxidation; missing parts; no key; no balance wheel), 32cm wide, 11cm deep, 49cm high (12 1/2in wide, 4in deep, 19in high).
