A set of four gilded chiselled bronze wall sconces; the base is shaped like a quiver with twisted fluted sides featuring asparagus motifs, a foliage-decorated plinth topped with a seed, and three curved light arms, adorned with foliage, supporting a garland of flowers, surmounted by a knotted ribbon (some missing parts and minor imperfections). Fitted with electric lighting.

A variation on the ‘carquois’ model, a famous 18th-century design associated with the work of Pierre-François Feuchère and the great Parisian bronze casters and chasers such as Pierre Gouthière, Pierre-Philippe Thomire and Jean Hauré.
