Chiselled bronze clock; the rectangular base is supported by splayed feet and features a decoration of a reading putto framed by lyres; the upper section features a circular white-enamelled dial displaying the hours in Roman numerals, marked ‘Gabriel ROY, 5 Rue du Temple, Paris’, set within a canopy resembling fabric upon which lies Cupid, discovered by the nymph Psyche; a music stand and a mandolin on the right-hand side (needs reattaching; damage and missing parts).
